Cheshire West and Chester Borough is a member of the World Health Organization Global Network for Age-friendly Communities. Membership recognises the contribution and commitment of individuals, local groups, organisations and communities to continuing to make the Borough age-friendly.
Understanding what is important to older people is vital to the ongoing development of Age-friendly Cheshire West; therefore, The University of Chester has been asked to undertake a survey with local residents, aged 50 years and over, to capture their opinions about what is being done well for older people living in the Borough and what could be done better. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete and your participation is entirely voluntary.
When responding to the survey questions please ensure that your answers relate to your experience of living in Cheshire West and Chester. We are asking for your postcode to enable us to ensure that a wide geographic spread of responses is received and that the opinions of older people living in all localities across the Borough are represented.
Survey responses will be used to produce a report about how age-friendly the Borough is and may also be used in other reports, such as academic papers, and in presentations. Completed hard copies of the survey will be destroyed after they have been entered into the Online Survey system. Information captured by the survey will be stored securely for a period of ten years.
The survey is anonymous so once it has been submitted it will not be possible to remove or change your answers. The survey is open until 8th May 2020.
The survey is available in alternative formats and other languages upon request. Please contact The Westminster Centre for Research in Ageing, Mental Health and Veterans at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01244 512249, for this and any other queries.
